What will you be doing?

Joining us as a Funeral Cluster Manager, you’ll oversee the funeral business and guide our teams in driving ongoing financial growth while maintaining excellent care standards, all through highly motivated and engaged teams across multiple funeral branches.

You will ensure we deliver an industry prominent funeral service and deliver profitable market share growth by supporting a culture of value, choice and care.

In this varied role, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Funeral Directors to develop local activity plans throughout the year- making a difference to our members
  • Supporting the design and delivery of our Funeral business plan
  • Monitoring and managing budget and scorecard performance
  • Prioritising colleague, Member, and client safety through embedding our safety and security procedures-  including staying on top of the daily safe and legal checks to keep our homes trading smoothly without risk
  • Supporting your teams with regular feedback and recognition, as well as boosting teams’ development through regular training
  • Auditing work schedules to ensure full coverage and accurate pay for everyone

Key to this role, will be your ability to lead an inclusive culture, where everyone feels welcome.

Please note this is a field based position and will be covering Walsall.
Candidates who progress to the next stage will need to be available on the 22nd January for an assessment day in Lichfield.
 
 
Please note as of 1st December 2023, new joiners to our Funeral Business will be subject to a standard DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. All offers will be conditional on us receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

You’ll have a real passion for leading and developing operational teams and driving excellent service to our clients.  You require planning and organising skills to ensure effective multi-site management and be great at communicating and engaging teams. 

You’ll be great at working in a team and understand the strength of taking time to build strong relationships and manage expectations.
