What will you be doing?

Joining us as a Finance Manager within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, you'll play a key role in supporting the forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning processes that underpin strategic decision-making across our Society.

Working closely with senior finance leaders and stakeholders from across the business, you'll help ensure we have the insight, analysis and forward-looking plans needed to drive performance and deliver our ambitions.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical financial expertise with commercial insight. You'll assist in consolidating and analysing financial data from across the organisation, identifying trends, reviewing performance and helping to build a clear picture of our current and future financial position.

Your work will support the delivery of budgets, long-term plans and strategic projects, providing valuable insight to Executive, Board and external stakeholders.

You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across FP&A, Commercial Finance and Business Intelligence teams to bring financial performance to life through meaningful reporting and storytelling.

By developing reporting tools, enhancing data capabilities and supporting scenario modelling, you'll help create a more forward-looking approach to financial planning and performance management.

As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvements in data quality, reporting consistency and planning processes.

Whether supporting periodic reporting, analysing market benchmarks or delivering ad-hoc insights for senior leaders, you'll play an important role in helping the business make informed decisions and achieve its long-term goals.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

Ideally, we are looking for a qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.

You’ll bring a strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality and the ability to condense complex data into clear and transparent summaries which will be pivotal for Executive and Board-level approval papers.

This will require both excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, in addition to your advanced Excel skills.

Due to the nature of this role, it will be essential that you can bring strong organisational and time-management skills. You’ll be confident in your ability to stay calm under pressure as well as delivering to tight deadlines.

Whilst able to work collaboratively, you’ll also be comfortable and confident in your ability to work independently using your own initiative and able to demonstrate both a proactive and pragmatic approach to issue resolution.

Preferably, you’ll have previous FP&A experience gained within the Retail Industry.

Everyone is welcome here We’re happy to make reasonable adjustments so that all our candidates can show us how they’ll perform their role. There is a section in the application form where you can provide any additional information. Please use this section to include any reasonable adjustments you need, and we’ll do our best to support you through our recruitment process.
