As a key member of the Finance team, you’ll play an important role in supporting our investment strategy by providing high quality financial analysis, reporting and insight.

Working closely with the Finance Manager- Capital & Investments, you’ll help measure and evaluate the performance of our investments, ensuring that stakeholders have access to accurate information and meaningful analysis to support future investment decisions.

You’ll contribute to the monitoring and reporting of key investment performance indicators, helping to assess the success of our investment portfolio and identify emerging trends and opportunities. This role will also support the tracking of strategic priorities and key programmes including development projects, acquisitions, and disposals.

Part of your role will involve supporting the review and consolidation of capital budgets, ensuring financial information is robust, accurate, and aligned with our Society priorities. You’ll also assist in the production of post-investment reviews, analysing outcomes, capturing key learnings, and identifying actions that drive continuous improvement across future investment activity.

Alongside maintaining comprehensive reports and performance data across the organisation, you’ll provide financial support on a range of ad hoc projects and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and wants to contribute to the successful delivery of key strategic investments.

We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or someone studying towards their qualification.

Bringing a strong commercial and financial acumen, you’ll be confident in developing an understanding of the key drivers of the business area.

Essential to this role will be your advanced excel skills and experience in manipulating large data quantities. You’ll be confident in your ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and able to work collaboratively with both cross functional and finance colleagues.

 You’ll feel comfortable in challenging current practice and processes with a drive for continuous improvement.

Able to work independently and use your own initiative, you’ll demonstrate a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll need to possess strong organisational and time management skills and able to deliver to deadlines.

Preferably, you’ll bring experience of capital budgeting, investment analysis or portfolio performance measurement.
