What will you be doing?

Our colleagues are the beating heart of our connection to our local communities, and collectively form the impact we make. We value the differences every team member brings to their role, delivering a sustainable society for all.

Offering a warm welcome, smooth transition and ongoing development of our colleagues, our management teams are supported by our dedicated People team.

In the role of Onboarding and Development Administrator, you’ll play an integral part in providing specialist support and advice to strengthen the attraction, recruitment, on-boarding and learning journeys of colleagues.

As part of an enthusiastic team of specialists, we’re dedicated to providing a smooth and well-organized onboarding and learning experience, making sure the customer remains at the centre of everything we do.

Offering a positive first response, you’ll become a trusted partner in providing in-depth knowledge and experience, to assist our candidates and colleagues with queries that arise. You’ll be equipped to provide basic reporting to deal with ad hoc enquires or process exceptions and monitoring trends.

In this varied and exciting role, you will support with the administration of more intricate and non-automated parts of our onboarding processes and make sure our learning portal is kept up to date to reflect accurate information for our external learning providers.

  • Please note the working pattern for this week is Monday-Wednesday- there is flexibility within working times but will need to cover between 8.30am-5.30pm. Monday and Tuesday will be working from home with Wednesdays working at the Support Centre in Lichfield.
  • This is a 9 month FTC position (end date June 2026)

How will I know if I am right for this role?

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can bring previous experience of using an Application Tracking System (ATS) from the back office. Payroll experience would be desirable but is not an essential requirement.

As experts in our recruitment and learning processes, the pace and volume in our modest onboarding and development team is significant, so you'll need to be a strong team player and be able to demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills.

You’ll remain calm whilst under pressure in handling multiple priorities at the same time. You’ll need to have a good understanding of Office 365 and some knowledge of recruitment, onboarding and learning requirements to fulfil this role.

It’s important that you can communicate clearly, confidently and be engaging when providing support to our potential candidates and colleagues. You’ll need a keen eye for detail and take care with accuracy as well as demonstrating autonomy due to the confidential and sensitive nature of some of the documents and information you’ll be accessing.

You’ll listen to and act on the feedback from our customers, proactively looking for ways to improve the service we provide and ensure that it is meeting the needs of the business in the most efficient way.
