What will you be doing?

This role will be responsible for credit control and debt collections in line with agreed policies, effective debt and litigation management, negotiation of debt repayment plans with customers and supporting the delivery of the Finance Shared Services vision and wider Society strategy/vision.

As Credit Controller you'll provide an effective and efficient service in accordance with the agreed performance and quality standards/measures.

You’ll be managing sensitive debt cases and will need to ensure that all customers and colleagues are treated with respect.

As part of the day-to-day operation of the Credit Control processes, you will help to ensure that all queries are resolved within agreed timeframes, as well as handling invoice queries and escalating any business-critical issues.

Collaboration will be key to this role’s success- you’ll have regular contact with customers as well as working closely with other teams across the Society.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

We’re looking for someone who is customer focused and who can bring previous experience in Credit Control. 

You’ll need to be able to manage difficult and sensitive situations whilst implementing the credit policy of the Society. You’ll be confident in working towards daily targets and meeting SLA/KPIs.

You’ll need to be PC Literate with a good working knowledge of Windows applications, including Excel. You’ll need GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need good planning and organisation skills. You’ll be able to prioritise your workload to work with pace and urgency. You’ll have the ability to comfortably communicate at all levels both with internal and external colleagues.
