What will you be doing?

We have been looking after families for over 100 years, and we believe that each funeral should be as unique as the person it’s for.

Funeral plans can offer financial and emotional reassurance to our families, knowing that arrangements and wishes are taken care of, and money won’t be a worry.

Joining us a Funeral Plan Specialist, you’ll be helping to arrange pre-paid funeral plans for both new and existing customers- helping to talk through our wide range of pre-paid funeral options, face-to- face or remotely via video or telephone call.

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll need to always ensure compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority regulations.

In this role you’ll be travelling to our funeral homes within your region where you’ll be providing exceptional customer service and support, in helping to make sure our customers are getting the right funeral plan for them.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Managing activity to ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines and quality SLAs
  • Sharing feedback and suggestions on ways to make the business even better
  • Making sure any customer dissatisfaction is recorded and reported in line with the regulated complaints process
  • Accurately inputting data into systems – supporting reporting and compliance monitoring

You’ll be building key relationships with all our funeral colleagues in your area, as well as the community.

Central England Co-operative Funeral Plans Limited (CEC FPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Central England Co-operative Limited (CEC). We are a specialised and regulated funeral plan distributor and provider with the CEC Group.

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll need to be flexible with regards to travel. This role will be mobile working, and you’ll be required to carry out both face-to-face as well as remote meetings. A full, UK Driving Licence is essential. 

Ideally, you’ll bring experience of working in a regulated environment- preferably in a certified role within an FCA regulated business.

In addition to being skilled in using Microsoft Office apps, you’ll also need to have GCSE passes in Maths and English (or equivalent).
