Joining us at this significant time, as we continue to create and grow OurCoop, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team and play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory and external financial reporting.

You'll support the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts, Half-Year Financial Report and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards while contributing technical accounting insights and robust financial disclosures.

Working across a complex and evolving business, you'll support statutory accounting and (de)consolidation activities, ensuring accurate reporting, eliminations and intercompany balances. You'll also help coordinate statutory accounts for Group entities, support projects such as acquisitions and integrations, and contribute to the ongoing harmonisation of reporting processes as we continue to evolve.

A key part of the role will involve strengthening financial control and governance. You'll lead monthly balance sheet reviews, challenge accounting treatments, support control testing and help promote best-practice financial controls across the wider finance function. You'll also work closely with external and internal auditors, preparing documentation, managing queries and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations. Alongside this you will assist in the preparation of annual calculations in the year end process.

Alongside your reporting responsibilities, you'll contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. From enhancing reporting quality and governance to driving automation, standardisation and process efficiencies, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

Ideally, we are looking for a Qualified Accountant who brings strong experience in statutory accounting and consolidated financial reporting within a large, complex organisation.

You’ll bring an in-depth knowledge of FRS and UK Statutory reporting requirements, together with your experience in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and managing external audit processes.

You’ll be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of balance sheet control and financial governance frameworks.

A system-savvy professional, you’ll pair advanced Excel capabilities with robust, practical experience navigating ERP environments like IFS and Agresso, to drive accurate financial reporting.

A confident communicator, you’ll be comfortable with stakeholder management as well as able to work collaboratively across the whole of our business with colleagues at all levels.

This role would suit someone with excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
